Division
of Stucco One
-
Where can concrete engraving and
concrete overlays be used?
Anywhere you have concrete, whether
its inside or outside. Driveways,
walkways, basements, bathrooms,
patios, any commercial, residential
or municipal properties.
Engraving has no thickness as it is
cut into the concrete. Overlays can
have up to ¼ inches in thickness.
Exterior colors over time will fade
slightly, some colors may ever
darken slightly. Although fading can
take years, especially if the floors
are routinely maintained with a
clear sealer.
-
Is there any Maintenance?
Yes
as with any floor covering some
maintenance is required. For
exterior floors a new coat of sealer
should be applied every 2 to 3
years. Interior floors will need a
coat of clear wax depending on
traffic wear.
-
How long will the floors last?
As
long as you follow up with imminence
your floors will last as long as
your concrete.
- I just poured concrete, how long
do I have to wait before I can stain
or do an overlay?
New
concrete needs to cure for at least
30 days to allow all the moisture to
dissipate. Although your new
concrete can be engraved (but not
stained) after about a week.
-
How do exterior floors hold up to
the winter climate
Clear sealers help protect concrete.
With maintenance every few years
they will last. Although it is not
advisable to use salt on any of the
finished floors.
-Can concrete engraving and overlays
be done on walls or steps?
Yes, anywhere there is concrete.
-How much does it cost to engrave
concrete or do an overlay?

size of the job and the design or
pattern. Call us to book a free
evaluation and estimate.
